Periodicals

The Society publishes two periodicals, one is "Tsuchi to Kiso", and the other is "SOILS AND FOUNDATIONS". "Tsuchi to Kiso" is a monthly journal first issued in 1953 and distributed to each member, and as of September 1998, the series number has reached 488. Topics are selected to provide the members current knowledge and future prospects with respect to a given topic related to the development of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering.

The bimonthly journal "SOILS AND FOUNDATIONS" is the medium through which geotechnical engineers exchange technical and professional knowledge, and contains technical papers, technical notes, discussions and closures written in English. The publication of "SOILS AND FOUNDATIONS" begun in 1960 and the volume number as of 1998 is 38. Authors of these papers are practicing engineers, consultants as well as academics from various parts of the world. "SOILS AND FOUNDATIONS" has now received a reputation as an internationally-recognized technical journal in the field of geotechnical engineering. To those who wish to subscribe to "SOILS AND FOUNDATIONS", please fill in the order form attached to this brochure and mail it to the Main Office of the Society.
