ICEG is a quadrennial premier international event on environmental geotechnics organized by the Technical Committee 215 of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE). The 10th memorial ICEG is conjointly organized by the Japanese Geotechnical Society (JGS) and follows the successful organization of the previous ICEGs in Edmonton, Canada (1994), Osaka, Japan (1996), Lisbon, Portugal (1998), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2002), Cardiff, UK (2006), New Delhi, India (2010), Melbourne, Australia (2014), Hangzhou, China (2018), and Chania, Greece (2023). The 10th ICEG aims to demonstrate that geoenvironmental engineers and researchers can contribute to addressing a wide range of global environmental challenges, including aging infrastructure, biodiversity, global warming, natural hazards, energy security, and the circular economy, in addition to traditional issues such as waste management and utilization, ground contamination, and ground improvement.
10ICEG is expected to attract more than 400 participants from all over the world and will feature the Rowe Lecture, the ISSMGE Bright Spark Lectures, keynote lectures, and general presentations. The organizing committee will offer two submission options, allowing authors to choose between a peer-reviewed full paper and a non-reviewed extended abstract. Regardless of the manuscript type, sufficient presentation time will be allocated to encourage open and constructive discussion.
We look forward to seeing you in Kyoto for a dynamic and enriching event!
